I’m Saying YES to the Dress
It’s a weird feeling. Knowing the dress you picked out 6 years ago, for a wedding you didn’t end up having– is sitting in your guest room closet…With less than zero plans to be used anytime soon.
I’ll admit I peeked at it. I laid it on the guest bed and gently unzipped it as though it were a freshly decaying body at the morgue. I was surprised to see a bridesmaid dress in there with it. I didn’t take it out. Just held the bodice softly in my hands like, “Oh yeah, I remember you.” and zipped it right back on up and put it as far back in the closet as I could. Continue reading
